How do you create a piece of work for a couple that has everything? My take: Thinking out of the box with a dash of added creativity. The most seemingly simple art is the most challenging art to create. The said location at the collector's home is higher than eye level and viewing angles are from lateral positions.
Incorporating placid and calm tones of greys, ochre, and blues, the overall aesthetics and fluid movement of the art are achieved by using asymmetrical balance.
Asymmetrical balance is using differing visual elements of unequal weight on both sides of compositions.
The goal is to look different from various angles.
Where do I place the negative spaces? How's the lighting? What textures to use? All these questions I ask myself constantly while creating and re-creating.
I am grateful to be able to be given a chance to push my creative boundaries or this commissioned piece.
My hope for this amazing couple and their family is that they will be able to reach greater heights in all aspects of their work and personal lives.
