ABOUT ME AND MY WORK
Joyce is an emerging Singaporean Artist. Her love and passion are in Abstract expressionism. Self-taught in Abstract Art, she is also under the tutelage of veteran local artist Mei Ho. Drawing her inspirations mainly from sentiments, experiences, and her surroundings’ state of mind. Her artworks highlight the interplays of human experiences of happiness, upheavals, despair, and self-discovery—abstractions molded with a blend of emotive energy and gestural freedom.
In March 2022, Joyce was one of 4 artists to participate in the event ‘Home is where the Heart is” – an interdisciplinary arts showcase held at the National Gallery Singapore. This unique project, sponsored by the National Arts Council, presented visual artworks and choral works performed by Voices of Singapore. She also held her first successful duo exhibition in September 2022, led by Singaporean curator and artist Sam Lay. In October 2024, Joyce was one of 5 artists to participate in Impress Galleries’ inaugural exhibition held at ION Art gallery.
Joyce also had the opportunity to be the sole artist to contribute to The New Charis Mission’s Charity Golf auction in September 2023. Followed by another solo auction organized by the People’s Association for Bukit Batok Golf Charity in 2024. A member of the oldest art association in Singapore, the Society of Chinese Artists, her past collectors and commissioned clients include investment companies, medical offices, and private offices.

We came to Joyce through a common friend. She was generous with her time and in explaining her craft. Immediately, we could see her work was interesting. Joyce tried to understand the energy behind the team and took a look at our office space. She poured her effort and interpretation into the works.

Joyce's "Actuality" painting is the centerpiece of my living room. The vibrant colours and intricate details get tons of love and spark conversations with guests. Beyond the stunning good looks, the piece sparks positivity and joy every time I look at it.
